The 10 books that changed my life....

As I said in my last entry, if you are going to buy somebody something this Christmas, one of the best things you can do is buy them some inspiration, in the form of a book.

Well I thought that now would be a great chance for me to share with you the Top 10 books that changed my life to give you some ideas...

The Prophet - Kahlil Gibran
Gandhi - Louis Fischer
Siddharta - Hermann Hesse
The Buddha and the Terrorist - Satish Kumar edition
Jonathon Livingston Seagull - Richard Bach
Moved by Love - Vinoba Bhavé
Walden - Henry David Thoreau
The Little Prince - Antoine d'Exupery
The Legacy of Luna - Julia Butterfly Hill
No Destination - Satish Kumar

One other thing little thing I always encourage people to do is to buy their books from an independent bookstore. Having volunteered for an eco-book store I know first hand that giants such as Amazon and the multinationals are killing our small local guys. Even if it takes an extra day or costs an extra pound, they are such an important part of the fabric of a beautiful society. Actually that reminds me of another book, "Small is Beautiful" by E. F. Schumacher. OK, I'm allowed eleven.

{I'll post this in the 'Community' section of the forum also, I would love it if you could all post your 'Top 10' books there too!}

I am so glad you have undertaken this mission. I give you full moral support from Bombay. I have been an activist of Land Gift Movement since 1955.

Have walked with Vinoba Bhave in his foot march several times.

If there is anything I could do from this end of the earth, do let me know. I could give you contacts in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bombay or wherever you wish to visit after you complete your tour and decide to visit places/Gandhian centres. wishing you good luck.

Daniel Mazgaonkar.

Thanks for taking the time to discuss this bandage dress, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic Herve Leger Dress. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me.I will bookmark your blog and have my kids check up here frequently V-Neck Bandage Dress. I’m very certain they will understand lots of new stuff here than anybody else. I do appreciate that youve added relevant and intelligent commentary here though. Thank you!
