Canterbury, the media and helping....
I've just had the most amazing day in Cantebury, the Glastonbury of the east. Woke up in the mood to really radiate as much love as possible and the days when I feel like that it really shows - you attract people from every angle.
First ran in to someone who had read about the pilgrimage and offered me a place, then a priest who had last week done a sermon at his church last Sunday, and then a group of amazing guys who had been musical pilgrims around the UK many times who I'm going to stay with tonight - we ended up singing and touring and putting smiles on lots of faces - Canterbury ranks up there with the best places I've ben so far, and so unexpected.
I've been reading some of the media stuff written lately and have become frustrated even though I know I shouldn't - it's all good really. I just wish it was less about me (and especially my feet) and more about the message. The point of the walk is to promote the ethics behind this community and the community itself, not the other way around. That is a concern.
People email every day and ask me how they can help. Here is how I want that help - set up a local freeconomy group, call into your neighbour and introduce yourself, share the things you got with people in your community, give a homeless person a bed for the night. Forget about me. I'm putting myself on the line here for the message. If others don't benefit my journey is wasted. Please please please do one of the above. Email the link to anyone you know may be interested.
Running out of time here, got so much to say, will continue tomorrow....
I so appreciate all your comments, they give me so much strength...just go and help each other. Please. xxx

Yes - in Dover tomorrow, meeting people at 11am at corner of High St and Ladywell St (i think!), then going to Calais Sunday morning!
Anyone who is interested come along!

Hi Saoirse
Just to let you know I’m meeting with Rachel who I met at The Sanctuary last saturday -when I met you- to talk about community and what we can do.
I recently co-founded a group called ’world family’ partly to support smallholder/organic farmers worldwide and partly to encourage a worldwide feeling of community where we see everyone as our brother and sister and live on this planet as one.
It’s a very young movement and will develop.
One thing I want to do is create an earthship or eco building in which the community can gather/celebrate/organise.
I envisage one in every community so that no-one has to be alone. All can come, give what they can and get what they need.
Each community co-operating and being open to eachother.
Meeting you, Eric Rachel,Raminta and reading peoples comments has opened my heart so that I am coming from a stronger feeling of love.
Your message is getting across -even if the media are not focusing on it!!
